So what are they?
High quality Oak tags in our signature hexagonal shape (don't worry, they come in round too!)
Did you know that when most tags are lost, it is because the part attached to the split ring snaps? Conventional pet tags are delicate, but ours are made of strong, durable white oak, giving them even more strength than metal.
'But my dog likes to swim!' I hear you cry! Fear not - oak is naturally moisture resistant, meaning it will not absorb water and warp like soft woods - well, not for at least 25 years anyway!
And if the worst should happen, and your Mighty Tag gets lost, instead of finitely polluting the environment, they will decompose naturally in nature like any other wood!

I like this idea, but can you show me the stats?!
Sure! 80-90% of dog tags are made of stainless steel, which is a great material, but when left to decompose in the environment they will take thousands and thousands of years! In comparison, our tags are made of Oak or Walnut, which can decompose in as little as 25 years. For those of you a bit more conscious, we can offer Olive wood tags, which can decompose in as little as 2 years in the right conditions.
What materials are Mighty Tags made of?
Mighty Tags are primarily made of White Oak and hexagonal in shape, but we can also supply Walnut (if you like a darker wood) or Olive wood (if you like a lighter version).
Can you tell me about each wood?
Absolutely! All of our tags are made with hardwoods. We prefer Oak because it will be the best for you, the consumer. It gives you the longevity you need from a tag, with little to no damage/erosion caused by environmental factors. Oak is resistant to mould, moisture and insect activity, as is Walnut. Olive wood is a little more sensitive to moisture, so is advised for calmer/indoor pets.
How can you claim to be environmentally friendly with a metal split ring?
At Mighty Tags we are a small business trying to make a big difference within our limits. We believe that by reducing the amount of metal in the environment from 100%, we are helping make a big impact.
What happens if my Mighty Tag get damaged/broken?
Mighty Tags are committed to ensuring we all reduce our harmful impact on the environment. This is why we will replace your Mighty Tags FREE of charge within 3 months, or at a 50% discount within 6 months. All you need to do is contact us at help@mighty-tags.com and send us a photo of your broken tag, previous order number, and we will fix it for you!
